This retreat focuses on various themes that present themselves during motherhood. Some of the topics include: emotional dysregulation, triggers from childhood that are activated while parenting, guilt, challenging black and white thinking, etc.
The free time that is built into the schedule allows attendees to take time for themselves or connect with the other women. Spend the time doing a puzzle, painting your nails, reading, taking a nap, playing pickleball, or whatever else makes you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
Unwind, relax, and soak up the sun on our beautiful beach – enjoying the ocean's calming rhythm.
Enjoy a variety of nourishing meals prepared for you. Please let the host know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies.
Your hosts will facilitate group time that allows for attendees to reflect on topics related to their experiences since becoming a mother. Group time is a chance to push yourself out of your comfort zone, be vulnerable, and connect on a deeper level with other women who may have similar experiences.
Relax in our cozy and comfortable rooms. We offer a variety of options to fit your needs and preferences.
This retreat takes place in Deerfield Beach, Florida which is located approximately 30 minutes from Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Flying into FLL or PBI are the best options.
Before becoming a therapist, Lisa was a special education teacher for 15 years. She was ready for a change and realized that becoming a therapist would be a good fit for her natural tendency to want to help others become the best versions of themselves. Lisa graduated with her master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Counseling. Now, she is in the final stage of becoming a licensed mental health counselor.
Traveling and exploring new places are very important to Lisa, which is why she incorporates that into her retreats. She grew up near Buffalo, NY and has lived in Deerfield Beach, FL for over 20 years.
Attending a retreat with Lisa, you can expect a welcoming and accepting energy, a balance between a structured and free-flowing environment, creativity, feedback to help further reflection, and some laughs. Lisa recognizes the value of utilizing the strengths of others to give a well-rounded and meaningful experience for attendees and connects with local professionals to add variety and enhance each retreat.
Heather Irby is a licensed mental health counselor whose contributions to the retreat are invaluable. As a mother of two young children herself, Heather is able to contribute to the groups in a way that attendees find deeply relatable.
Heather's journey to becoming a therapist wasn't a direct path; like many, she grappled with self-discovery in her early adult years. At 18, she pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Buffalo, NY. A traumatic event led her to therapy as a patient. Motivated by her healing journey, she became a therapist, It wasn't until the age of 31 that she returned to school for a master's in counseling.
Heather specializes in treating anxiety and often utilizes mindfulness to help others understand themselves better. This directly translates into facilitating groups with mothers of young children who often experience anxious thoughts.
Attending this retreat was such a great experience! It had the perfect balance of making new, meaninful connections with others while also carving out time for myself to relax and reflect. It left me feeling refreshed, recharged, and with a sense of calm that stayed long after I left. The location was wonderful and I was so happy to spend some time at the beach as well. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for both personal growth and a chance to connect with others.

It was truly one of the most beautiful weekends of my life. This retreat was designed specifically for women with children and Lisa went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Since this was my first retreat, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be life-changing. I was able to connect with an amazing group of women on a much deeper level than I ever would have in the rush of daily life. During this retreat, these women reminded of of something I'd forgotten: I am brave.

This retreat was the experience that I didn't know I needed, and will never be able to forget. Life gets so busy, and I was hesitant at first to make the time for just me. Lisa helped to make that guilt disappear from the minute I walked in the door. The group sessions led by Lisa and Heather were so eye-opening. The house is such a beautiful space, and being close to nature and spending time on the beach made the time feel so rejuvenating. In this short period of time, I learned more about myself than ever before and I am so grateful.
